Worst moving experience EVER!!!!

Since Scanio (New York, NY) got my photos of their horrible moving job removed from yelp, I'm going to post them here so people will know what they're getting into before they hire this company. I think it's very cowardly that this business will not allow customers to show pictures of their damages. I'll also add my yelp review here.  The same day my pictures were removed from Yelp, we received a phone call from Scanio calling us out. Ha! Please be aware before hiring Scanio for your move. I don't want other people making the same mistake we did.

BEWARE OF MOVERS FROM HELL!!!! WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT USE SCANIO!!!!!!!!!!!! They are truly the movers from hell! I have been through many moves and I have never dealt with such an unprofessional, greedy company as Scanio. They have zero customer relations, they treat their customers so poorly and it is all about money to them. They do not care at all about working with their customers and making them happy. I truly regret using them.

I did a cross country move with them from New York to California. Everything that I did not want them to do, they did. First of all, they did not deliver our stuff when they said they would. They delivered many days later than they had said and we found out this was because their truck driver had gotten a ticket. They never even called us to say when they would deliver or if they have started driving our stuff over yet or what. How comforting to not know what is going on with everything you own! Once they finally delivered our stuff after forcing us to sleep on the ground for 6 days, our boxes came severely damaged. The boxes are all crushed and I’m sure everything inside of them is damaged. I do not see one box that is not ripped or crushed. Our antique couches are all ripped and the boxes I have opened all have damaged items in them. I was horrified to see they had shuttled our boxes into a different truck than what they had originally packed them in. They were now inside of an Atlas truck. If we wanted to use Atlas we would have hired them. So then we see the truck and our boxes are mixed with other peoples boxes. It was all a huge mess. The movers kept bringing other peoples items into our home and we would have to tell them this is not ours. I don’t even want to know how much of my stuff has gone to other people. They had originally said if they were going to share our truck with another person’s move, they would put a divider between our stuff and theirs. This was not true. All the boxes were mixed and it was like a free for all.

During the part where they moved our stuff out of our apartment and into the truck, the workers were very obnoxious and demanded a tip. Are they serious? I have never had someone demand a tip from me before. They wanted hundreds of dollars each even though they had charged us over $11,000 for the move!

The worst part was dealing with their owner Nire and dispatcher Collin. These people were incredibly rude and had no sense of customer service. All they cared about is money. They were not willing to work with us one bit and were extremely unprofessional. Their attitudes were just plain nasty. If I wanted to deal with nasty attitudes, I should not have had to pay over $11,000 for it! After all the horrible stuff they did to us, they should have been apologizing and not talking back and name calling.

Please do yourself a favor and do not use them. We regret not doing our move with Flat Rate. I am sure the 5 postive reviews written about Scanio are written by the owner and employees or relatives. I think the fact that they have so few reviews explains it all, this company is a joke and if you want to pay money for bad service and bad attitudes, then you should use them.

Photos:

Items showed up in Atlas truck not Scanio. They had assured us they have their own trucks!

Look at this box. I think it was resealed after breaking open.

I don't know what they spilled on this. Yuck.

We received MANY ripped boxes like this:

No dividers or anything in the truck to keep our stuff seperate from their other customers' stuff

This is not the condition I expect to receive my boxes in:

Here are a few of the many broken items:

Ripped antique couch

China cabinet is damaged all over

Dining table scratched everywhere:

Work items. Broken beyond repair:

I cannot believe we paid money to have our items delivered in such a poor condition. This is truly disgusting.

I will add more pictures as I take them. There are still many more pictures to come.
